The LEAD International Session of Cohort 15 – Port Elizabeth, South Africa: A Spirit of One World
Thirteen LEAD Indonesia Fellows of Cohort 15, from the total eighteen LEAD Indonesia Fellows, added by two LEAD Associates have joined the LEAD International Session in Port Elizabeth, South Africa from October 29th – November 7th 2010. LEAD International Session has been the core feature of LEAD Training. With theme of Population, Climate Change and Development this event brought 150 emerging leaders, representing diverse professionals from more than 40 nationalities, whom have completed the national sessions, and would like to expand their knowledge at a global level by learning from influential experts and leaders on the sustainability related issues. Bridging Leadership Program: Investing in Future Leaders of Nanggro Aceh Darussalam

Bridging Leadership Program or BLP – a program of YPB, started in 2006 – has been grooming the future community leaders of Nanggro Aceh Darussalam through a series of training and internship. Since then there are 85 alumni and it will turn into 115 trained community leaders by 2011. Through BLP participants have the knowledge of the conceptual framework of sustainable development and its related issues, and how to formulate development strategy, as well as learn from inspiring successful leaders and the importance of leadership. At the last session from BLP, participants can have an insight of program implementation through internship session. Class and out off class activities is an integrated approach to help participants have a thorough experiences.

The Inauguration of Cohort 15 and The Challenges of The Future

LEAD Associates of Cohort 15 have accomplished the series of this year LEAD National Training Sessions. The inauguration at Financial Club Graha Niaga, Jakarta, on September 28, 2010y attended by LEAD Fellows of Cohort 15, and other 16 LEAD Fellows from other Cohorts. The excitements of the new graduated Fellows were easily seen on their happy smiles. They were glad, relieved, yet touched as the 20 days intensive National Training has officially ended. It was a very pleasant evening with many LEAD Fellows joined this special event.
