YPB-BNI 46 Workshop: Linking Banking Sector to Sustainable Development
Yayasan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (YPB) facilitated state-owned bank, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to conduct the second 2-days workshop to build Green Mortgage sustainability compass on 10-11 June 2009 at Grand Kemang Hotel, Jakarta. The workshop focusing on green mortgage investment of BNI 46 that position BNI as the first bank that promotes “Griya Hijau”, a new initiative of the bank to be the first in this product. This is the following workshop of Developing Sustainable Business – partnership between YPB and BNI in May 2009. The sustainability compass of green mortgage will be the basis of changing ideas into action with measureable indicators as progress tracking.

BNI 46: The Road Map toward Sustainability
With the signing ceremony at the World Ocean Forum in Menado, in May 13, 2009, Yayasan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (YPB) and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk have committed to work in partnership to develop this oldest state owned bank towards sustainable banking, as addition to the bank’s green initiatives. The program has the support from the British Embassy. The Atkisson Sustainability Tools is applied in the project that will show the bank’s Sustainability Compass as its strategic directions.

Losari Coffee Plantation – Resort & Spa: A New Path Toward Green Tourism
Another company that works in services business that has been a partner of Yayasan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (YPB) this year is Losari Cofee Plantation – Resort & Spa (LCP) that underwent workshop through Developing Sustainable Business program. The program has been supported by the British Embassy, and used Sustainability Accelerator Tools from Atkisson Inc. The partnership has allowed YPB to assist LCP in developing a stronger Corporate Sustainability Proposals for the company, using employee engagement in the workshop and case study of similar business as reference.
